Maximilian Shapiro and Aliénor Cros

first designed together for their wedding. Their save-the-dates, invitations, seating plan, order of service, table names and ephemera were all a result of their careful collaboration. This established their modus operandi of joint concept and layout, with Maximilian designing and Aliénor curating colours.

Their wedding stationery helped cement Maximilian’s appreciation of lettering and Islamic geometric art, and informed what has become an enduring colour scheme.

After their wedding of February 2020, they designed a Christmas card during lockdown which helped them connect with friends and family. They enjoyed the process so much that it has become an annual tradition.

ShaCros is the union of their two surnames, Shapiro and Cros.

ShaCros enables them to take their creativity a step further and make maximalist, colourful and historically inspired cards.
